Soldier On Opens Ticket Sales for Annual Wamesit Lanes Fundraiser

Event features raffles, entertainment, food, and lots of laughs to help end veteran homelessness

On Sunday, March 10 from 6 – 9 p.m., Soldier On will hold a fundraiser at Wamesit Lanes, at 434 Main St., to raise funds to support the Gordon H. Mansfield Veterans Community.

Residents who drive by the Soldier On build site, at 1660 Main St., adjacent to Heatherwood, may have noticed good progress being made. Learn more about the project.

The March 10 event at Wamesit Lanes will feature a raffle and silent auction, entertainment from comedian Dave Russo and passed appetizers.

• General Admission: $40 per person includes passed appetizers and two stations.
• The Big Four: $500 (four available) includes private lane, admission for six people, bowling with shoes for six people, and logo on marketing materials.
• The 300 Club: $750 (four available) includes private lane, admission for six people, bowling with shoes for six people, Soldier On T-shirts for six people, Soldier On Hats for six people and logo on marketing materials.

Soldier On is “Changing the End of The Story” for homeless veterans throughout the country by providing and coordinating an extensive continuum of housing and support services for veterans who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless.

About the Gordon H. Mansfield Veterans Community

Soldier On became the development lead for this project at the invitation of Tewksbury Home Build (THB), a local housing nonprofit that gained control of the site through a town-supported process of creating affordable housing. The new four-story,18,565 sq. ft. building will provide 21 units of affordable permanent supportive housing for veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Construction began in Fall 2023, with a planned opening in late 2024.
