Nominations Watch: Who’s Pulled Papers?

With 11 days left, there’s now a three-way race for two Tewksbury School Committee seats

Here are your neighbors who have taken out nomination papers for Town of Tewksbury elected offices as of this morning. The deadline for turning in signature papers is 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16.

Chris Moncada said he saw a number of strong candidates step forward for Select Board, and after conversations with voters, felt his experience with the Center Elementary School PAC would allow him to be effective on the School Committee, which is in the midst of negotiations. While he’s officially withdrawn from the Select Board race, Moncada isn’t ruling out a run in the future. His campaign has issued a statement, and we’ll update his intro letter shortly.

As of this morning, Jomarie Buckley, John Deputat, Vincent Fratalia, Bridget Garabedian and James Mackey have returned enough voter signatures to officially qualify for the ballot.

An * denotes an incumbent, and a (Q) indicates that the candidate has qualified to be on the ballot by turning in papers with at least 50 registered voters’ signatures.
