Tewksbury 4 Blue 25 – Wilmington Blue 23
The Tewksbury 4 Blue team has only played two games so far this season, but thus far they have made two things abundantly clear: They will not back down and they will not give up.
On 12/10/23, they played a very tight back and forth game against Wilmington Blue. The game was never more than a basket apart until Tewksbury fell behind by 5 late in the 4th quarter. It turns out Wilmington was right where Tewksbury wanted them.
Addy Wagstaff put back a loose rebound and Nora Ginsburg scored a hoop and the harm to pull Tewksbury back even. Tewksbury played the final few minutes with especially suffocating defense and gave Wagstaff the chance to finish off a give and go with Charlotte Taylor to give Tewksbury the winning margin.
However, Tewksbury would not have been in that spot if not for the contributions of all the team members. Wagstaff, Taylor, and Mila Kasprzak led Tewksbury in scoring with 6 points each. Nora Ginsburg chipped in 5 points and Ollie Ginsburg rounded out the scoring with a bucket of her own.
Aisling Sheehan was super aggressive on the offensive end, scrapping for the ball, and was unlucky not to see one go through the hoop. Avery Conley turned in an excellent defensive effort and Kristina Ruscio was able to find some good passing lanes to give others scoring chances. Maeve Rosso and Tenley Torra battled on the boards all afternoon, against some taller opponents.
Tewksbury Travel Team Blue 7 picked up two recent victories, moving their record to 4 – 0. Tewksbury traveled to play North Reading and won 32 to 15. Tewksbury was led by Kelsi Adams 11pts, Mariabella Cracchiolo 8pts, Daelynn Christopher 7pts, Alazne Carvajal 2pts, Hailey Christopher 2pts, Lyla Costello 2pts. Led by Daelynn Christopher 9pts, Avarie McMasters 8pts, Kelsi Adams 8pts, Mariabella Cracchiolo 4pts, Hailey Christopher 4pts, Alazne Carvajal 2pts, Caly Loring 2pts, Lydia Newell 2pts.
