All good girls and boys invited to meet & greet. And there will be pie
The Town of Tewksbury and the Tewksbury Congregational Church are teaming up to kick off the holidays tonight, and Santa has alerted the Carnation that he will be in town and available for photos and wish list presentations.
First, Tewksbury will host the Annual Holiday Celebration and Tree Lighting from 5-7 p.m. on the Town Common, 1009 Main Street. Everyone is welcome to this FREE event. It will be a fun, family friendly night to include:
- Marshmallows roasting on open firesĀ
- Staging of an ice sculpture donated by the Wilmington/Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce
- Hot chocolate, warm cider, roasted nuts and other festive treats available for purchase from What the Fork Catering and Totally Nutz
- Free balloon animals, caroling, and crafts
- Writing letters to Santa.
Please be sure to bring an unwrapped toy to donate to the local toy drive. Children in our community benefit from your generosity.Ā
Then, head across the street to meet Santa at the Tewksbury Congregational Church from 7-8:30 p.m. The TCC is hosting its annual, and very tasty, Peace of Pie Social. That will begin at 6 p.m. Come enjoy a slice of pie for $5 each. There will be 10+ varieties of homemade pie toĀ choose from.Ā
Parking will be available at Town Hall, 1009 Main St.; at the Tewksbury Funeral Home at 1 Dewey St; and at Tewksbury Congregational Church at 10 East St. Town Hall Avenue will be closed to through traffic.
