Gobble up some raffle tickets to benefit the Friends
Decorations for the Tewksbury Open Space & Recreation Plan Committee Winter Tree Walk popped up this weekend at the Chandler Well Fields, Pinnacle St. Trails and Rogers Park. There are at least five trees at each area decorated by groups from the Baldwin Girl Scouts to Womens Money Matters. Above is the Tewksbury Democratic Town Committee’s tree at Chandler.
If you’re not up for a trail walk, you can head to the two-lane indoor track at TMHS beginning next Monday, Nov. 27. The track will be open from 4 – 7 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, excluding days the schools are closed, including for snow. You will need to sign in and out. To preserve the rubberized track covering, sneakers or appropriate footwear only. No cleats, pets, unattended children, strollers, bikes or other items with wheels.
The Friends of the Library will draw the first winner in their annual Mystery Gift Card Raffle on Dec. 1. Residents can purchase raffle tickets now for $5. Each day between Dec. 1 and Dec. 24, someone will win a gift card worth at least $10. Winning tickets go back in the mix, so you can win more than once. Tickets are sold online or at the library (cash only) on Nov. 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Nov. 27 and 28 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday is an early release day for schools, and town facilities will be closed on Friday. The library reopens on Saturday with a puzzle race.
