There will be a benefit tournament on Dec. 17 and celebration of life on Nov. 20
A message from Mike at Wicked Cornhole: For those of you who knew Bruce and the amazing impact he had on the local community in Tewksbury, I am reaching out for help. We lost Bruce yesterday after a battle with cancer, leaving behind his family. We are hosting a huge fundraising cornhole tournament on Dec. 17 to celebrate his life and impact and to help his family financially. All are invited, whether you want to play cornhole or not, but we are also looking for any donations for raffle prizes. Any baskets, items, gift certificates, you name it, we are looking to have a huge area full of raffles to help out the man who helped so many selflessly in his time.
If you have anything to donate or would like to be a part of the event, please email Mike at Mike@WickedCornhole.com, or learn more and sign up here.
Bruce Taylor Obituary
On Wednesday, November 15, 2023, Bruce Taylor lost his courageous battle with cancer. Bruce was a person who brought sunshine and laughter to all. He first brought joy to his father, Anthony C. Taylor (deceased) and his mother, Katherine E. Bradley (deceased) on a warm Monday on August 18, 1969. In August 1969, the world experienced some of the world’s most memorable events, and Bruce’s birth was one of them, especially for those who knew him personally.
Bruce leaves behind his loving wife, Stacey Oliva Taylor, their five children and spouses, Amanda and Stephanie Taylor, Patrick Taylor, Christian Taylor, Cole and Sarah Bugley, and Madison Bugley as well three grandchildren, Bradley, Temperance, and Elijah. Bruce is also survived by his brother, Corey Taylor and his wife, Kellie and his sister Katherine (Trish) Nicholas and her companion Steven McDonagh, as well as many nieces and nephews. Bruce brought laughter and joy to his numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins with his enormous sense of humor. Bruce was the glue amongst 50 plus cousins and would host an annual Cousin Palooza which was enjoyed and appreciated by all. EVERYONE felt his love. Bruce took time out of his life to make many individual and unique experiences with the people in his life.
If he thought something nice about someone, it was his policy to tell them.
Bruce was born in Lowell Massachusetts, but spent his early childhood in Thomaston, Maine, before returning to Tewksbury where he attended Tewksbury Memorial High School. He loved spending as much time as possible “Upta Camp” in Union, Maine, in his A-Frame cottage built by his grandparents.
Bruce always had an entrepreneurial spirit and has been successful in more than one business. Bruce transitioned from the debt collections industry to becoming a giant in the cornhole board manufacturing & retail business. Bruce started Wicked Cornhole with his wife, Stacey. Bruce has had a huge and lasting effect on the game of cornhole in the Northeast. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Tewksbury Elks Lodge, located at 777 South St, Tewksbury, MA 01876. Arrangements by Tewksbury Funeral Home, 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury, 978-851-2061. Please visit www.TewksburyFuneralHome.com to leave the family a message of condolence.
