DiZoglio Is Featured Speaker at TDTC Meeting Tomorrow

State auditor will be guest of Tewksbury Democratic Town Committee; residents welcome

On Thursday, Massachusetts AG Andrea Campbell issued a 17-page letter to state auditor Diana DiZoglio stating her opinion that DiZoglio’s office lacks the authority to audit the legislature. That throws added focus onto DiZoglio’s ballot question, supported by 67% of respondents in a recent UMass Amherst poll, that asks voters to allow her office to assess the performance of, and recommend ways to improve, the state legislature.

That ballot question is just one area that DiZoglio, speaking above at a recent breakfast, is likely to discuss tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 4, when she visits Tewksbury as a guest of the town’s Democratic committee. That meeting will kick off at 10 a.m. at Tewksbury Town Hall and is open to residents.

TDTC Chair Cathy Dwyer will have papers on hand for anyone who wishes to help DiZoglio gather the 75,000 signatures she needs to get the question on the ballot.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Diana to Tewksbury,” said Dwyer. “She’s a familiar visitor to town, having grown up in and represented the Merrimack Valley. We hope to have a lively conversation.”
