Three trails to feature decorations; drink donations also needed for craft fair
The Tewksbury Open Space and Recreation Plan Committee would like to welcome all Tewksbury nonprofits and town departments to participate in this year’s Winter Tree Walk event — a great opportunity to showcase Tewksbury organizations and bring residents out to celebrate winter.
From Nov. 24, 2023 through Jan. 1, 2024, decorated spaces will be on display at Rogers Park, the Pinnacle Trails and the Chandler Well Fields.
- Decorate a tree or natural space along the trails for visitors to discover as they stroll the trails.
- Open to Tewksbury non-profit/local government organizations.
- All decorations should be completely installed by November 20, 2023 and removed by January 7, 2024.
- Event promotion starts the day after Thanksgiving.
The deadline to confirm participation is Friday, Nov. 17. Contact Paige Impink at pfimpink@comcast.net with questions or to book a spot.
Applefest Fair Helpers
The biggest fundraiser for the TMHS PAC is the Applefest Craft Fair, which will be held on Saturday, October 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the high school. Admission is free, and there will be approximately 140 crafters plus raffles and food.
Making this happen takes many hands on both Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28. The TMHS PAC is looking for both adults and students to volunteer, and get hours. If you can help, please use the Signup Genius.
If you can’t volunteer but are interested in donating drinks for Applefest, please use this link.
A few parents of freshman and sophomores are particularly needed to learn the key roles so that we can continue to have this event, which raises money for the annual All Night Long Celebration. If interested please reach out to tmhspac@gmail.com for details.
