TPD, TFD, town officials marked solemn anniversary; opportunity to help family displaced by fire
Tewksbury comes together in many different ways, from cleaning our roadways to remembering events of Sept. 11 to giving gift cards and items to support residents affected by a disaster.
A local family recently lost their home due to a fire from one of the recent storms and are in need of many items. If you are able to donate, the Tewksbury Police are looking to collect new clothing, toys, and/or gift cards. Clothing sizes needed: Girls: Tops – 12/14, pants – 12, shoes 8. Boys: Tops/Bottoms – 6 , shoes 12. A drop off box will be located at the police station. Any questions can be directed to Officer O’Keefe at 978-640-4385 X-240. Thank you for considering, we truly appreciate your thoughtfulness.
Join the Tewksbury Beautification Committee for a one hour mini-clean up event this Saturday, Sept. 16, from 9 -10 a.m. The plan is to walk Livingston St. to pick up trash ahead of the Fall Festival. Interested residents should meet behind the Rec Center. Gloves and bags provided, and volunteer hours are available for students. Questions? Email us at clean.up.tewksbury@gmail.com.
Those who couldn’t make the 9/11 memorial can now view the ceremony, courtesy of Tewksbury TV.
