League is partnering with Boston Alliance of LGBTQ+ Youth
Boston Roller Derby, a Boston-based, female-only roller derby league, returns to the Shriners Auditorium at 99 Fordham Rd. this Saturday, June 24.
Doors open at 4 p.m. Bouts are scheduled for 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. The Harbor Horrors take on the Wicked Pissahs at 5 p.m., while the Cosmonaughties battle the Nutcrackers at 7 p.m. An after-party will take place at 9 p.m. in the Fez Room.
Tickets can be purchased at the door for $16 (adults) and $8 (children, ages 6-17). Kids under 6 are free. Admission covers entry for both games and the after party. Food and drinks are available at the venue, cash only.
Advance ticket sales will end at midnight the night before the game. VIP seats are trackside; General Admission seats are in the bleachers.
Boston Roller Derby has partnered with BAGLY, the Boston Alliance of LGBTQ+ Youth, for this event. BAGLY was formed in 1980 and is a youth-led, adult-supported organization committed to social justice, and creating, sustaining and advocating for programs, policies and services for the LGBTQ+ youth community. BAGLY believes in a world that is more equitable and safe for LGBTQ+ youth and prioritizes the needs of LGBTQ+ youth of color, trans and gender non-conforming youth, and homeless LGBTQ+ youth.
