Children must be residents in grades five through eight
Tewksbury Chief of Police Ryan Columbus announces open registration for the 3rd Annual Jr. Police Academy. This free program is open to incoming fifth to eighth graders.
To enroll, a student must be a Tewksbury resident.
Topics will include physical fitness and health and wellness classes, criminal law, investigations, cyber safety, CPR and first aid, drug and alcohol awareness, domestic violence, motor vehicle law, the K-9 Unit, the Drone Unit and mental health, with numerous hands-on activities to help students understand the content.
NOTE: The deadline to register is May 9.
The Academy will be held at TMHS and will run from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on the following weeks:
- July 17 – 21
- July 24 – 28
