Select Board member calls Bugda Gwilt ‘unafraid to call out problems and work to identify solutions’
Dear Tewksbury Residents,
Please join me in voting for Katlynn Bugda Gwilt for Tewksbury’s Board of Health in the upcoming April 1 Annual Town Election.
I first met Kate and her husband, Eliot, when they attended an Elementary School Building Committee meeting where she advocated for pedestrian safety measures for an area of our roadway that had been altered as a result of the construction. With her home abutting the site, she had a front row seat to the work over the last two years, and expressed concern for the safety of our children. I was impressed with her poise, intelligence, and professionalism, especially with a two-month-old infant in her arms. She showed she was unafraid to call out problems and work to identify solutions.
I’ve been privileged to get to know Kate since then and was thrilled when she chose to run for the Board of Health. Tewksbury has been privileged to have some very experienced members serve the town, especially during the pandemic. Now it is time to turn our attention to focus on wellness, growth, and opportunity for all our residents. Kate’s friendly demeanor, professional knowledge, experience in community health, and vision for Tewksbury align with many issues this town holds dear: Mental health, access to open space and recreation, senior and family wellness, and animal welfare.
Her abilities and interests fit perfectly with the current Board of Health and her energy and network will help with community outreach and engagement. I look forward to her further advocacy throughout Tewksbury on a wide range of issues and working with her and the Board on many significant initiatives in our future.
