Wish Project to Partner With TMHS Class of 2024 for Mattress Fundraiser

Donate gently used bedding to needy families

The TMHS Class of 2024 is partnering with The Wish Project to provide an option for anyone who buys a new mattress at the upcoming fundraiser and wishes to help someone in need by donating their old mattress.

The Wish Project accepts all size mattresses and box springs except king, as long as they are free from rips and stains. This initiative is in conjunction with the TMHS Class of 2024 mattress fundraiser

On Sunday, March 26, you can shop for new bedding at the Wynn Middle School from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. More than 25 Beautyrest mattresses will be available to try, along with bases and accessories. A portion of the proceeds from mattresses purchased that day will be donated to the Class of 2024.

The Wish Project helps families by providing basic furnishings, home goods, clothing and baby needs while helping the planet by keeping usable items out of the waste stream.

The Wish Project serves clients throughout Greater Lowell, Lawrence and the wider Merrimack Valley and says most have suffered a life-altering event, such as a fire or the loss of a job. More than 85% are women and children and the elderly.

In any given week in our own community, there are many children sleeping on the floor in largely unfurnished apartments. With support from The Wish Project, families are able to furnish their new homes while managing their expenses, reducing the likelihood of becoming homeless.

Representatives from The Wish Project and the Class of 2024 will have information to hand out on how to bring your old mattress — along with other donations — to the Wish Project’s Chelmsford warehouse. Or you may contact the agency to donate items, especially those on its current needs list.
