There are 11 candidates running for Select Board, Planning Board, School Committee, Board of Health and three other positions in the 2023 Annual Town Election.

The final list of qualifying candidates is here. The 2023 Town Election will be April 1. The deadline to register to vote in this election is March 22.

If you’d like to connect with candidates, there are meet and greets and a formal forum planned. You can also find information on various Facebook pages and campaign websites.

Tewksbury Republican Town Committee Meeting
When: Monday, March 6, 7 p.m.
Where: Tewksbury Town Hall

The TRTC welcomes candidates to attend this monthly meeting to speak to the members and friends of the TRTC, and to take questions from the attendees. Interested residents are welcome to attend.

Kate Bugda Gwilt Campaign Launch
When: Thursday, March 9, 6 – 9 p.m.
Where: The Skybox

Please join Katlynn Bugda Gwilt, candidate for Tewksbury Board of Health, at Skybox on Thursday, March 9 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for a campaign kickoff event. Pick up a lawn sign and enjoy a fun night of apps and celebration. Appetizers will be provided. This is a kid-friendly event. Learn more on Facebook or the campaign website.

Tewksbury Democratic Town Committee Local Candidate Night
When: Monday, March 13, 6:30 – 9 p.m.
Where: Luna Rossa

For the second year, TDTC Chair Cathy Dwyer welcomes candidates, elected officials and residents to an informal meetup at Luna Rossa. There are no formal speeches; residents are encouraged to seek out candidates and ask questions. There will be a cash bar, and attendees may order from the menu. Learn more at the group’s website.

Tewksbury 2023 Candidates Forum
When: Thursday, March 23, 6:30 p.m. (CORRECTED DATE)
Where: Tewksbury Town Hall or or catch the event on Tewksbury TV or Comcast (99) or Verizon (33)

This year’s televised forum will be moderated by Robert Hayes, editor of the Wilmington Apple, and sponsored by the Tewksbury Town Crier and Tewksbury Carnation. All candidates have been invited to attend, and the format will depend on whether a race is contested. Last year’s forum is available on Tewksbury TV’s YouTube channel; Night 1 is here, and Night 2 is here.
