TPS Seeks Nominees for Ginsburg Family, Krissy Polimeno Educator Awards

Deadline for submissions for both awards is April 13

The Tewksbury Public Schools is seeking nominations for the 2023 Annual Ginsburg Family Award and the Krissy Polimeno Outstanding Educator Award.

The Ginsburg Family Award recognizes an individual, a group, or a company/organization who has had a significant impact on the Tewksbury Public Schools in the area of physical, monetary, tangible contribution(s), or volunteering for the benefit of a school or the district.

The Ginsburg Family Award is named for the well-known charitable family, Marc & Leisa Ginsburg, and is given out to an individual or organization that is notable for their great contributions of charity and service to the schools of Tewksbury. Past recipients include the Ginsburg Family, the Tewksbury Rotary Club, the Phil French family, the Tewksbury Education Foundation, Larry & Sandy Polimeno, the Wamesit Lanes (MacLaren family), Donna’s Donuts (Wilson family), and TMHS Best Buddies.

The Tewksbury Public Schools is also seeking nominations for the 2023 Annual Krissy Polimeno Outstanding Educator Award to recognize an individual who has had a significant impact on a Tewksbury school or the district. The award will be given annually to honor an individual educator in the area of active involvement, volunteering, and giving a generous amount of time and energy to the quality of the educational system as an advocate for students in the Tewksbury Public Schools. Criteria include leadership, special action and inspiration as a role model to peers and students.

The Krissy Polimeno Outstanding Educator Award is named after Krissy Polimeno and will be given to an individual who is notable for their great contributions of charity, leadership, volunteering and service to the schools of Tewksbury. The Tewksbury School Committee presented Krissy Polimeno with the first Outstanding Educator Award in 2019.

The deadline for both nominations is April 13, 2023. A brief narrative with the application is encouraged.
