Read about the February happenings at the Senior Center.

The Tewksbury Senior Center sponsored a Kitchen Essentials fundraiser, as did other community organizations in Tewksbury, the months of December and January. Dozens of common kitchen items like silverware, cooking utensils, measuring cups and spoons and potholders will be dropped off next week at Household Goods, Inc. in Acton.

Household Goods, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides a full range of donated furniture and household items, free of charge, to help people in need make a home. The Senior Center wishes to thank all who contributed to this worthy group of volunteers.

February is all about the “Heart” here at the Gift Shop on Chandler and Valentines are busting out all over the shop. So many gifts of sentiment for those very special people in your life. Scented candles, weighted heart shaped pillows, purses, wallets, gloves and scarfs are just a few items in this well-stocked shop. Looking for Tewksbury Honey? You can find this Tewksbury treasure on the shelves here at the shop. Don’t forget the greeting cards are only .50¢. Make a list and stock up for the year.

Find yourself cleaning out your closets? The Upscale Boutique is always looking for donations for consignment. What sells best are “like new” clothing and apparel items. Donations can be brought to the center the first Monday of each month from 2 – 5 p.m. That means, Monday, February 6 is the next intake day. What a great way to recycle and maybe earn a profit too!
