TPD Seeks Public’s Help in Bomb Threat at Local Business

If you know something about last night’s incident at Wamesit, call Tewksbury Police

Police Chief Ryan Columbus reports that the Tewksbury Police Department is actively investigating a threat at Wamesit Lanes alleging to detonate an explosive device and commit a shooting.

On Saturday, Jan. 14, at 8:16 p.m., Tewksbury Police received a 911 call from an employee at Wamesit Lanes, 434 Main St., stating that some customers had received AirDropped photos from an unknown individual alleging that they had a bomb and were going to shoot up the building.

Tewksbury Police immediately responded to Wamesit Lanes and evacuated the scene out of an abundance of caution.

This incident is being actively investigated by the Tewksbury Police Department. Tewksbury Police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident or who has received the photo to call the department at 978-851-7373.
