Meet the Carnation’s New Political Correspondent

Ali Lightfield will cover Tewksbury’s state delegation, 2023 local election

The Carnation is happy to introduce our new political correspondent. See below for a poll where you can let Ali know what you would like her to ask our state delegation, 2023 candidates — and possibly some of our federal elected representatives.

My name is Ali Lightfield, and I will be interning with the Carnation!

I’m currently a sophomore at George Washington University in DC, and I’m majoring in political communications. With my major, I’ve been learning about media’s effects on policy and the political world.

With the Carnation, I’ll be posting Q&A interviews with both current and incoming local government figures.

I have lived in Tewksbury since the age of 8 and am grateful for the school system that has led me to where I am now, so I’m very excited to get more involved with the town!
