Nip Bottles? Fast Food Wrappers? Time to Clean It All Up

Twice a year since 2014, volunteers have fanned out across Tewksbury to connect with friends and neighbors and participate in the Beautification Committee’s town cleanup days. In 2020, about 100 adults and kids gathered 205 bags of trash and more than 100 tires. One year, we filled an entire kiddie pool with nips.

Fall 2022 Cleanup is Sept. 24. The event is also supported by the Open Space and Recreation Committee and the Town of Tewksbury.

You can sign up for a specific area of town, connect with local organizations to do a group cleanup or just pick a spot that morning. Grab bags and supplies at Town Hall from 9 a.m. to noon, collect trash until 2 p.m. and return bags to the DPW, at 999 Whipple Road.

Groups are welcomed and community service hours are available.

Sign up for a spot or show up that day. A food pantry donation is suggested, and Mass Mosquito Control will be on hand to collect tires OFF RIM at the DPW free of charge. No commercial tires. Residents only.
