Beginning Sunday, June 5, the Tewksbury Public Library will have new carpet installed on the first floor of the building. To accommodate the carpet installation, the library will be closed Sunday, June 5 through Wednesday, June 8. There are no fines on TPL items and no borrowed items will be due during this time period. The book drop will be open. Patrons are welcome to hold on to library materials until TPL reopens on Thursday, June 9.
The Children’s Room will close June 9 through June 13, and the Teen Room and DVD area will close June 14 through June 16, though the Library overall will be open. Residents can find updates on the project here.
The Livingston St. splash pad is scheduled to open on June 24. The hours are normally 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The splash pad is adjacent to the picnic pavilion and fitness area.
The Select Board meeting originally scheduled for tonight has been moved to tomorrow, Wed., May 17 at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall. Residents may also catch the meeting on Tewksbury TV or Comcast (99) or Verizon (33). The Select Board will discuss a request for outdoor entertainment at Wamesit Lanes. AGENDA
Finally, congratulations to 2019 TMHS graduate, local journalist and friend of the Carnation Rosalyn Impink, who graduated last weekend from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School with her Bachelor’s in Public Policy.
Impink plans to remain at Syracuse to pursue her Master’s in Public Administration.
