Town Will Host Public Meeting On Flooding Survey, Possible Green Solutions

The town of Tewksbury, partnering with the Merrimack River Watershed Council and local engineering firm Weston and Sampson, has made significant progress on a townwide study of flooding issues and potential solutions and will share findings at an upcoming public meeting to be held at the Tewksbury Public Library, 300 Chandler St., on Monday, May 23 from 6 – 7 p.m.

The meeting will also be live streamed on the town’s YouTube page.

All residents are invited to attend the meeting to learn how opinions gathered by the public survey as well as flood modeling efforts are guiding the development of solutions, what “green infrastructure” is and how it can be used to mitigate flooding.

To register for the meeting and learn more, visit the town’s Hazard Mitigation & Climate Resilience Planning web page.
