Plan ‘A Day of Beauty’ at Shawsheen Tech

Shawsheen Valley Technical High School welcomes the public to Shawsheen for “A Day of Beauty” on three Tuesdays in May. The visit will start with pampering at the school salon with service from cosmetology students, and then patrons will rendezvous to the Ram’s Head Dining room for a meal and coffee or tea from students in Culinary Arts/Hospitality Management program.

The dates for “A Day of Beauty” are Tuesday May 10, 17 or 24.

Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management and Cosmetology are two of 20 vocational programs offered at Shawsheen Valley Technical High School. The programs are teaming up to pamper patrons to increase awareness of their student-run services available to the public. These services allow students to practice skills they have been working on as part of their vocational curriculum.

The Shawsheen salon will offer a shampoo & blow dry ($7), a manicure ($6), and a facial ($6), and the Ram’s Head Dining Room will feature their famous oven fresh popovers with a 3-course meal consisting of soup or salad, an entrée and dessert ($9). Guests are encouraged to book services at Shawsheen’s cosmetology salon by 10 a.m. and make an 11:30 a.m. reservation in the Ram’s Head Dining Room.

To make a reservation for salon service call 978-671-3677, and to reserve a spot in the dining room call 978-671-3688.
