Mark Your Calendar for Tewksbury Town Cleanup Day on May 7

Tewksbury’s 2022 Spring Town Clean Up is Saturday, May 7. Stop by Town Hall starting at 8:30 a.m. to pick up bags and supplies, then collect trash along roadways and in our parks, open spaces and fields until 2 p.m.

Even an hour of time helps.

This event has run since 2014, and each year residents fill hundreds of bags with trash while picking up tires, nip bottles and other items discarded on our town lands.

Residents can band together and sign up to clean a specific spot around their neighborhoods or just show up and help where needed. Cleanup Day is a great way for teens to earn community service hours.

As part of this spring’s event, paper shredding and electronics recycling will be offered at the DPW from 9 a.m. to noon for Tewksbury residents; a Tewksbury Pantry donation item is requested for the service. See below for needed items. There is a limit of five boxes per resident for shredding.

Recyclable electronic items include monitors, computers, hard drives, tablets, smart phones, printers, scanners and media such as tapes and DVDs. Items are free with a food donation, except for televisions, which are $35 cash to the provider.
