Letter: Longtime Residents Weigh In On Board of Health Candidates

Dear Fellow Residents,

We would like to make our recommendation for Nicole Burgett-Yandow for the Board of Health in the April 2, 2022 election.

Nicole graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northeastern University. She later graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Masters of Science in Nursing from UMass Boston. Besides her academic achievements, Nicole has done extensive work in the field of nursing as well as co-authoring several research articles.

She has the necessary work ethic, drive, nursing skills and ability to communicate clearly. She would be a valuable member of the Board of Health.

We also recommend Susan Amato. Susan brings her years of experience with running a business where health and safety are primary goals. She places improved public and inter-departmental communications as major goals she wishes to accomplish. This emphasizes letting the public know what health services are available and making them easy to access. Also, she will make sure that various town departments communicate with each other — starting with the Board of Health.

Susan will make sure that getting the necessary permits to start a business will be easier than it has been in the past. Businesses and homeowners who need to get permits will be given accurate information and be sent to the right people when necessary. This kind of service will make potential business owners more likely to settle in Tewksbury.

These reasons combined with her work ethic, drive, compassion, honesty, and common sense are why she is getting our vote, along with Nicole Burgett-Yandow.

Sincerely,
Joan Unger-Harmon
Jim Harmon
