Letter: Longtime Residents Cite Wellman’s Drive, Work Ethic, Education

Dear Fellow Residents,

We would like to recommend Jayne Wellman for re-election to the Tewksbury Select Board in the April 2, 2022 town election.

Jayne moved to Tewksbury in 2001 and raised her two children, Luke and Elizabeth Miller, here. Besides being the vice-chair, and a very effective sitting member, of the Tewksbury Select Board, she has served in many capacities since moving to town. Her roles include School Committee, Town Moderator, Open Space & Recreation and the Cable Advisory Committee.

Jayne has a strong drive and work ethic. She has been involved in local politics and has worked as the Business Administrator for the Town of Reading. She was also news editor for the Town Crier in Tewksbury and Wilmington. Her interests are many, and her business experience makes her especially well-suited for working on the Select Board to move our town forward.

Her education also makes her a strong candidate. Jayne is working toward her Masters in Public Administration. She studied economics and international relations at Tufts University, studied economics at University College London, and earned a graduate certificate in business management from UMass Lowell’s Manning School in 2012.

Please join us in voting to give Jayne Wellman another term on the Select Board.

Sincerely,
Joan Unger-Harmon
Jim Harmon

Editor’s note: Saturday, March 26 will be the final day The Carnation will run resident letters in support of candidates, so please get any communications to us by Thursday, March 24.
