Tewksbury Weekend Happenings for Feb. 18

The Tewksbury Weekend Happenings column is back thanks to a new collaboration between the Carnation and Tewksbury Connected.

George Washington’s birthday has long been observed on the third Monday in February every year. For many Americans, the holiday has become a commemoration of all U.S. presidents.

If you’re looking to get out of town, but not go too far, the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism (MOTT), the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) and the Department of Fish and Game (DFG) provide ideas for people of all ages.

And remember, the library is closed Monday for President’s Day.
