The Tewksbury Housing Authority on behalf of 2230 Main St Realty Trust is conducting a lottery for those interested in an affordable rental unit in Tewksbury. Nine units will be available to those whose incomes are at or below 80% of the area median income.
There are four one-bedroom and five two-bedroom affordable units available.
The rent of these units shall be as follows:
1 bedroom: 700 sq. ft. unit is $1,599
2 bedroom: 1,000 sq. ft. unit is $1,799
This rent includes water & sewer only.
The current guidelines require that applicant’s income does not exceed the following:
Maximum Household Income:
One person: $55,950; two persons: $63,950; three persons: $71,950; four persons: $79,900
Approximate Minimum Household Income Requirements:
$47,500 to lease a one bedroom unit or $52,500 to lease a two bedroom unit
This is not subsidized housing. Rents do not change based on applicant’s income, and tenants will be responsible for paying the full rent themselves. Applicants with Section 8 Vouchers should contact their local housing authorities before applying as these rents are above the local FMR.
All applications must be postmarked by March 18, 2022. A lottery will be held at The Tewksbury Public Library, 300 Chandler St. on April 5, 2022 at 6:30 p.m.
