Heath Brook and Trahan Schools Give Back

It’s become an annual tradition at the Heath Brook and Trahan schools to have a friendly competition over which grade can donate the most items to the Tewksbury Community Pantry. Each grade gets their own shopping cart to fill every year. This year, they donated a whopping total of 2,567 items!

Second grade took the top spot at the Heath Brook with 695 items, and third grade won at the Trahan with 425 items. Both grades will win a prize that hasn’t been chosen yet. The Pantry was very thankful.

If you’d like to donate to the Community Pantry, they’re located at 999 Whipple Rd, next to the DPW building. They have bins outside so you can drop off items anytime. Or you can donate online through their website, http://www.tewksburypantry.org/Other/donate.html

Many car loads of donations needed to be taken to the pantry. Included were Birthday Kits with everything a family would need to make cupcakes and celebrate.
