Tewksbury Weekend Happenings for Jan. 21

The Tewksbury Weekend Happenings column is back thanks to a new collaboration between the Carnation and Tewksbury Connected.

Now’s the time to get your ticket for the Vic’s Waffle House Breakfast for Dinner event to benefit the Friends of the Tewksbury Public Library. Click here to buy an RSVP ticket, then come in or call ahead between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 24. Tickets are $5 per group, which will be rebated at the restaurant. 

Board of Health Emergency Meeting
When: Friday, Jan. 21, 11 a.m.
Where: Town Hall, in person or virtual on Tewksbury TV or Comcast (99) or Verizon (33)

The Board of Health will review Tewksbury’s Covid numbers and issue updated guidance as needed.

Film Screening: 13 Minutes
When: Friday, Jan. 21, doors open at 1:15 p.m.
Where: Senior Center Library. Registration required

Enjoy a screening of 13 Minutes, a thriller starring an ensemble cast, including Trace Adkins, Anne Heche and Peter Facinelli. Four families in a Heartland town are tested in a single day when a tornado hits, forcing paths to cross and redefining the meaning of survival. Rated PG-13. 109 minutes. 

Registration required. Limited to 20 seats. No candy & water will be served for the time being. Co-sponsored by the Friends of the Tewksbury Public Library and Tewksbury Lions Club.

Cashwood Country Dance Party
When: Friday, Jan. 21, 7 p.m.
Where: Tewksbury Elks

The Best Flippin’ Card Show
When: Saturday, Jan. 22, 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Where: Crown Plaza Woburn, 15 MIddlesex Canal Park Rd.

A monthly card show featuring dealers from all over New England who specialize in high- and low-end sports cards, graded, raw and unopened card boxes. Show features the hottest sports stars to the best in Pokémon & Marvel at all different price points to satisfy the needs of just about any collector on any budget. $3 at the door, 12 and under free. The door fee always gets you chances at items like autographed sports cards, sealed boxes and special events like Bruins/Celtics tickets.

Hip-Hop and Hops Night at Merrimack Ales
When: Saturday, Jan. 22, 5 – 9 p.m.
