Tewksbury PACs Share the Love with School Nurses

Recently Lori Carriere, co-chair of the high school PAC, reached out to all the school PACs to see if they wanted to partner with one another and Lasagna Love to provide meals for our school nurses and contact tracers.

Lasagna Love is a global nonprofit with a mission to positively connect communities and neighbors via meal deliveries. Lori coordinated the lasagna pickups from the organization, and the PACs purchased salads, bread and a dessert to make a full meal. The PACs delivered 12 meals, which covered all of the nursing staff for the Tewksbury Public Schools.

This school year has been challenging for our nurses. They’re helping with COVID pool testing weekly, handling contact tracing and testing students daily in the test and stay program — on top of all their other duties. They regularly work well beyond their normal hours and sacrificed most of December vacation to help with contract tracing and notifying families. This is a small way to thank our nursing staff for all that they do every day.
