2022 Dog Licenses Now Available In Tewksbury

Tewksbury Town Clerk Denise Graffeo reminds dog owners it is that time of the year when all pups six months of age or over must be licensed. Dog licenses are valid for one calendar year, Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, and must be renewed annually. Renewals are due by March 15, after which late fees will be assessed.

Dogs six months of age or older that are new to town must be licensed within 30 days and may be licensed at any time throughout the year without incurring a late fee.

Licensing fees are as follows:

January 1 – March 15 March 16 – July 1 July 2 – December 31
Spayed or Neutered $15 $20 $30
Not Spayed or Neutered $20 $25 $35

A dog owner applying for a license shall be obligated to pay all outstanding dog license fees  relating to the past licensing period (2021) and any outstanding violation notices. A current  Rabies Certificate as well as a Certificate of Spaying or Neutering must be presented before a dog  license may be issued, unless currently on file in this office. If in doubt, contact the Clerk’s office at 978-640-4355 or by email at townclerk@tewksbury-ma.gov

For your convenience, you may license your dog online or by mail. Once received, town staff will print and mail the license and tag.
