The Thanksgiving day football match between Tewksbury and Wilmington kicks off at 10 a.m. at Wilmington High School. Presale tickets will be available to students on Monday and Tuesday during lunch at the high school or to those attending the Tuesday evening pep rally. The cost will be $5 for students/seniors and $7 for adults in advance or $10 at the gate before the game.
The library is closed Thursday and Friday, and there is no programming on Wednesday, when the doors close at 2 p.m.. Residents can get the full Monday and Tuesday event calendar here. Saturday the library is back to regular hours.

Lessons run over six Saturdays — from January 8, 2022 to February 12, 2022. Six 30-minute lessons for beginning swimmers cost $85. Six 60-minute lessons for more advanced swimmers cost $170. Tewksbury Job Seekers Network: How To Make Age Invisible
Virtual, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Age can influence hiring decisions in subtle and often undisclosed ways. This interactive program will describe what a job seeker can do to minimize or eliminate the influence of age and improve his or her personal presentation to appear less “old.” Learn how unconscious habitual “old” behaviors can have a huge negative effect on any decision to hire. Tewksbury Historical Commission
In person, Town Hall, 6:30 p.m.
The Historical Commission is an official town committee. Its duties include reviewing requests to tear down historically significant structures and invoking the town’s Demolition Delay By-Law where appropriate. A review of demolition applications is on the agenda, along with election of officers.
Pep Rally & Powder Puff Games
In person, TMHS, 5:30 p.m.
The pep rally will be held between powder puff games at Doucette Stadium on Tuesday. The Freshmen/Sophomore game will start at 5:30 p.m. and the Junior/Senior game will start at 7:15 p.m. This is a good opportunity for the public to purchase discounted Thanksgiving Day Football Game tickets. Organizers ask attendees to bring nonperishable food items to be donated to the Tewksbury Food Pantry. Small cash donations will also be accepted and donated. List of items needed by the Pantry.
Wednesday
This a half-day for students, so be careful when out gathering any last-minute supplies. And remember, you can log minutes in the Reading Rivals Challenge through today, 11/24! Let’s help Tewksbury finish strong.
