Tewksbury Schools Offer Covid/Flu Vaccine Clinic on Friday

The Tewksbury Public Schools is offering a flu and Covid vaccine clinic this Friday, Nov. 19 at the Senior Center, Hall A. The clinic will be open  from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will serve Tewksbury Public School staff, students and parents as well as younger siblings.

Masks are required. If you have insurance, bring your card; however those without insurance can still get a free Covid vaccine. The cost is $42.49 for the flu vaccine if paying out of pocket.

Vaccine offerings:

  • Flu vaccine for those 3 years and older
  • First dose Pfizer to those 5 years and older
  • Pfizer and Moderna boosters for anyone who received their second vaccine more than six months ago or who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. However, CDC guidelines are still recommending boosters only for those 65 years and older or those 18 and older living and/or working in a high risk setting or with certain medical conditions.

Update as of 11/18: New guidance is to allow patients to self-determine their risk of exposure. Providers should not turn away any patient who requests a booster if the patient is 18 years of age or over and completed their primary series at least 6 months ago for the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine or received their J&J vaccine at least 2 months ago.

Organizers ask that those interested in attending the clinic fill out the Vaccine Order Form to specify the vaccines they and their families plan to receive, so there is adequate stock.

All vaccine recipients must complete the CDC vaccine checklist form and bring to the clinic. Additionally, complete the form specific to the vaccine(s) you are receiving. See links below.

Caregivers must complete the Pfizer pediatric vaccine consent form and vaccine checklist, if minor children will be receiving their Covid vaccines.

This is a great opportunity to get your entire family vaccinated against flu and Covid so you can safely enjoy the holidays with friends and family.
