That’s right, there’s an eclectic little gift shop at the Senior Center. This shop has been around for a number of years and is a perfect place to do some holiday shopping in this age of supply chain disruptions. Everyone is invited, and the best part is, all proceeds benefit the many programs offered at the Center.
You will find many items you didn’t know you needed: jewelry, accessories, even Tewksbury Honey. The custom-made wreaths are stunning, as are the seasonal-themed lanterns. Health and wellness items, essential oils and yoga mats are available, too. You must check out the grand display of greeting cards, only 50 cents each. I cannot list all items, so come on down and check it out.
The Gift Shop was opened more than 10 years ago. It was the brain child of (former director) Linda Brabant. And with the assistance of Council on Aging member Joan Unger Harmon, a small corner of the center was turned into the Gift Shop we know today.
Regular hours for the Gift Shop are Monday thru Friday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm., but there are new extended holiday hours for the shop:
Tuesday & Thursday evenings 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturdays, November 13 and 20 and December 4,10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Get a jump on that holiday shopping and be sure to check out the Senior Center with all the various programs and activities available to our residents.
P.S. Incredible steals on our clearance section on Saturdays!
