Tewksbury Congregational Church to Host Blessing of the Animals

The Tewksbury Congregational Church at 10 East St. invites the community to join them for a “Blessing of the Animals” on Sunday, Oct. 3, at 2:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. All are welcome to have their animal companions blessed during this special ceremony, which should last about 30 minutes.

Pets may attend if they are either caged or on a leash and behave well with other animals and people. If not, you are invited to bring a picture or a stuffed animal to be blessed in your pet’s stead. All participants will be sent home with a goody bag and a card with a blessing printed on it.

Areas will be sectioned off for dogs, cats, rodents and reptiles — and for humans who don’t care for animals but would like to attend. Please note: Due to Covid-19, masks must be worn inside the building.

Those who wish to share in this service of celebration and thanksgiving for pets should use the side entrance via the parking lot. For more information, contact the Tewksbury Congregational Church at 978-851-9411 or via email at office@tewksburycc.org.
