Proceeds will benefit the Library, tables of 10 available
Jerry Caruso, cofounder of Comics for a Cure, has been called the “Professor of Punchlines.” He’ll join with Boston-area standup regular Bob Sheehy, who combines a passion for true crime with comedy — really — to present an 18+ benefit show on Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Tewksbury Elks.
Proceeds will help pay for about $20,000 in programming not covered by the town, including popular regular offerings like one-on-one sessions with service dogs Benny, Misty and Diamond that help kids with reading anxiety build confidence.
As always, the Elks will provide a cash bar and guests are welcome to bring in their own food. The show will start at 8 p.m., but doors will open at 7 p.m., so attendees have time to enjoy a meal and some conversation before the main event.
Tickets are $25, or tables of 10 seats may be reserved for $225. Purchases are fully tax-deductible as the Friends are a 501(c)3.
