The weekly Monday concerts on the back lawn of the Tewksbury Public Library are a staple of summer in town. Residents pick up or pack up a bite to eat, throw their chairs or blankets in the car and gather to hear tribute bands play a wide variety of music.
Get there early, starting at 5:30 for a 6:30 showtime, to mingle and support the Friends of the Library by purchasing a ticket for $1 to win $25 in scratch tickets. Shows end at 8 p.m.
All concerts take place on the library’s back lawn and are dependent on weather. In case of rain, performances will be rescheduled for August. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets or chairs. This programming is supported in part by a grant from the Tewksbury Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
If you can’t make it out, you can watch the concerts live on the Town of Tewksbury’s YouTube Channel.
